Thanks for sharing your photos of these guys. I have these snails in my tank too and they are great algae eaters. I really like the cool and edgy look the spikes/horns add to these snails  .
A little kindness goes a long way.

And raising shrimp will help you on the journey.

I think one of the blacks may have died(it has not moved for a long time)and I tryed to get a pic of a nice big black one but my camera did not cooperate.

Richard or whoever knows :D
Do the broken spikes regenerate/grow back?

If you can find the snail shell of the one that you think died pick it up and smell it. Dead snails will smell really nasty. If the shell is empty the other snails may have already eaten it.

Thanks Aquagirl and Rachael!
I am planning on doing that,it appears to be clinging to a rock so I will wait and see if the bigger snails snack on it or it move.If neather occurs by tomorrow I will pick it up and go from there. The others are zooming around. although after I posted the porcupine pic a P.bridgei(Moon snail)ran it over and probably broke the spines. :taz:

This is something you will have to let us know ;)

I have not had to deal with this situation yet.

Lucky you!
I hope they do !

On another note I think the one black snail I thought was dead finally moved when I accidentally knocked it off the rock and the porcupine snail in the pic still has spines. :yay:
